Women's Fellowship & Outreach
Do you knit or would you like to learn to knit? We will gather for devotions, prayer and knitting. There are several local and global organizations that can benefit from our handy work to help newborns, children, and families in need.
This fellowship will meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm until school year activities start up and then we will look at a different night. We will put a calendar together of the evenings we will be meeting. We encourage you to bring a snack to share and this is purely voluntary. If you can’t come both nights, that’s okay. Come at 7, come at 8 stay the whole time or stay for an hour.
Our intention is to start with knitting and then in a few weeks take on another type of craft. The group can decide what we do next; sewing, quilting, crocheting, etc. Anything we do becomes a life skill and provides some assistance to someone in need. Let’s gather, get to know each other better, pray and then show some love to our local community and beyond with our hand work.
Contact Sarah Nelson 507-4209 or Marla McBride 320-3174, if you plan on attending this first evening. We have some simple patterns for infant hats, blankets, or an infinity scarf so you can come prepared with needles and yarn.
- Patterns and supply lists will be on a table in the Fellowship Hall.
Hope to see you for what will be a very fun evening and fellowship.

Holy Smoke BBQ Contest & Entertainment 2015 was a great success. Nearly 600 meals were served and $1400.00 was rasied for the Kearney Food Pantry. Pictures coming soon!
Holy Smoke BBQ & Entertainment 2014
A huge THANK YOU! to all of you who worked tirelessly to make Holy Smoke 2014 the fine event that it was. Approximately 650 meals were served and over $2,100 was donated to the Kearney Food Pantry by those attending.
"It was like a mini Branson." "Felt like a big block party." "The pulled pork was restaurant quality." "What's the band's name?" "Oh, that's our worship team!" These were just a few of the comments overheard at the Second Annual Holy Smoke BBQ contest, meal and entertainment event.
Even though we pigged out on pulled pork and had a smoking good time, the event is more than just food and fun. The Holy Smoke event is also a fundraiser for the Kearney Food Pantry. Nearly $1700.00 was collected in the countrified piggy banks provided on the tables and around 700 people enjoyed a free meal and excellent entertainment.
